ZeroD is a shooting scenario builder and ballistics education app designed to help all hunters, from complete beginners to experienced shooters, truly understand their weapon system and make smarter, more ethical decisions.
You input your actual shot group from any distance, whether it’s a 50-yard group from your backyard, a standard 100-yard group, or a 200-yard group from the range you actually have access to. The app takes that real data and scales it accurately into any hunting or shooting scenario at any distance. No more being limited by range length.
It teaches you how every variable in the ballistic equation (muzzle velocity spread, shooting position, wind guess + margin of error, animal movement + uncertainty, presentation angle, bullet choice, and more) affects the real-world performance of your complete weapon system.
The goal is simple: help you practice the way you actually hunt, see the downstream results of every decision, and walk into the field knowing exactly when a shot is still responsible and when it isn’t. No advanced math required, just clear, visual learning that meets you where you are.
DIGITAL ARMS ROOM
This is where you will build out the actual weapon systems you have in the safe. Save all the different ammo you use for each weapon. Record your actual range data like cold bore shots, individual shots, shooting positions, bullet speeds, etc. This data is the backbone of the scenro builder. With your actual historic data, we will be able to show you what each shot you took in your last group would have impacted on an animal or target, under any condition or situation you can dream up.
SCENARIO BUILDER
You want to see what your go to deer or elk rifle can really do? Start with the rifle, ammo, shooting position, and actual group you last shot, and from there select your steel target or target species. Set the range, wind speed, point of aim, shot presentation, and your wind calling confidence level. Then watch the same five shot group you shot, travel down range through the exact scenario you. built. An elk at 475 yards, 13 mph wind, 4/5 wind confidence, quartering away, shot placed high front shoulder... see where each of those fove shots would landed on that elk.
WEAPON SYSTEM COMPARISON
Not sure which rifle you should take on a specific hunt? Curious how your current weapon system stacks up against a buddy, or a new factory rifle? Run a comparison scenario and compare the down range performance between any combination of rifle, cartridge, bullet. One high recoling high performance rifle may not shoot as small of groups at 100 yards, but at what distance does it pay off and surpass down range wind bucking over a lighter recoiling rifle at 100 yards?
DRILLS, KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING
Organizing data, tracking performance metrics, cold bore point of impact shifts and allt he other information we track is important. Equally as important is shooting precise and accurate groups. The data will help us identify areas that to improve. It's then up to us to develop a strategy how to improve. If our group size is is two inches at 100 yards, we need to look at ways to tighten that, because two inches at 100 is eight inches at 400 with no other variables even added to the scenario. Or maybe when we move from prone to shooting off a truck bed, our impacts hit three inches high. We can work with that and use some basic drills at the next range session.
